In Passione Domini was commissioned by Pope John Paul II in celebration of Palm Sunday of the Jubilee 2000. Starring world-renowned tenor José Cura (who also plays piano and serves as conductor on a number of selections) the concert features a blend of classical and contemporary music in the beautiful surroundings of the Basilica Santa Maria degli Angeli in Rome.
